Cambuslang Rangers co-boss Billy Campbell blasted his side’s game management after losing a last-gasp goal in their defeat to Irvine Meadow. The Somervell Park side led 1-0 at home through a Grant Brennan goal, and Scott Anson then missed a penalty, before ‘Medda’ levelled through Issac Kerr early in the second half.Just as Camby looked to heading for a valuable point that would have lifted them off the bottom of the West of Scotland Premier Division, Louis Kerr popped up in the 89th minute to snatch a winner from close range. That inflicted an 11th defeat in 18 games for Camby this season and leaves them three points adrift of safety at the foot of the table.Campbell wasn’t happy with his side and also apologised to all involved for the condition of their pitch, which wasn’t conducive to free-flowing football. He said: “We were extremely disappointed not to see the game out.“It wasn’t a spectacle – the park is in a poor state, so I need to apologise to our players, the opposition and fans, but we just don’t have the money to repair it.“We came in deservedly ahead, probably could have got another one or two and been in a better place.“In the second half we started relatively well, got ourselves a penalty but unfortunately didn’t manage to covert it.“Following the penalty we absolutely stopped playing, and as much as it pains me to say it, overall we probably deserved to lose it.“We stopped playing, stopped working, stopped doing all the things we were doing relatively well earlier in the game.“We then conceded a goal in the very last minute of the game, so it was a bitter one to lose.“Our game management has to be better.”It doesn’t get any easier for Campbell’s side this weekend. They head to title hopefuls Darvel on
