A successful businesswoman who had her life “messed up” by a man who allegedly faked having stage four cancer in a bid to control her was tragically found dead in bed by her dad.
Jennifer Joynt, 36, was found unresponsive when her father forced his way into her home on Merton Crescent in Heaton Moor on February 26, after her family became concerned when they hadn’t heard from her in days.
An inquest into Ms Joynt's death, held at South Manchester Coroner’s Court, heard that the supply chain manager, who was born in Stockport, had experienced problems with her mental health in the past, usually making it through these difficulties with the support of her friends and family.
Although there were signs that she was considering suicide, she did not appear to have taken her own life, the inquest heard.
