Brooklyn Beckham has admitted that he quit his budding career in football after fearing he couldn't live up to his dad, David Beckham, who is a hero in the footballing world.
David, 47, used to be the darling of Manchester United, and throughout his career, he's won 19 trophies in the sport. Speaking in a recent interview with Variety, for which he appeared on the front cover, 23 year old Brooklyn revealed that despite playing for Arsenal's youth academy in his teens, he decided to give up the sport for good when the club released him at 16.
He touched on his father's opinion of Brooklyn quitting his beloved sport, saying: "My dad wasn't sad, because he was like, 'I just want you to be happy', but of course I was sad.
It was my whole life since I was literally two. "To try and live up to what my dad did in football, I was just like, 'that's going to be a bit difficult'".
