It has been a historic night for Manchester United's academy - both at Old Trafford and elsewhere. That is because United interim manager Ralf Rangnick handed opportunities to the likes of Anthony Elanga, Teden Mengi, Shola Shoretire, Zidane Iqbal and Charlie Savage during the 1-1 draw against Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League.
Elanga was handed his first senior start of the season, partnering goal-scorer Mason Greenwood up front, whilst Mengi, Shoretire, Iqbal and Savage stepped off the bench during the second half, as Rangnick rotated his pack and awarded opportunities to as many players as possible.
