AMC Networks’ Interview With the Vampire is undergoing a big casting change. Bailey Bass, who played the series’ female lead, teenage vampire Claudia in Season 1, will not continue on the adaptation of Anne Rice’s novel. She is being replaced by Delainey Hayles, who is taking on the role for Season 2, which starts production next week in Prague and will also shoot in Paris and New Orleans.

Bailey Bass won’t be continuing in the role of Claudia for Season 2 of AMC’s “Interview With a Vampire,” the network announced late Friday. “Bailey Bass is a talented actor who did a remarkable job bringing the character of Claudia to life in Anne Rice’s ‘Interview With the Vampire.’ For a variety of reasons, Delainey Hayles will appear as Claudia in season two.

Ethan Shanfeld Grace Jones, the iconic singer, actor and fixture of New York City’s late-’70s disco scene, will return to Manhattan to perform at the 2023 Blue Note Jazz Festival, marking her first solo headlining show in the city in over 10 years. Jones will kick off the 12th annual edition of the festival on May 31 at Hammerstein Ballroom. On June 24, NxWorries (Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge) and Robert Glasper with Lalah Hathaway and Bilal will perform at the fest, which takes place at seven major venues across New York City, ranging from the famous Greenwich Village jazz club Blue Note to the Beacon Theatre. Brian Eno is the recipient of the Venice Biennale’s Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement in its music section this year.The influential experimental musician, composer, producer and visual artist – formerly of Roxy Music – is being honoured for his “research into the quality, beauty and diffusion of digital sound and for his conception of the acoustic space as a compositional instrument,” according to a press release seen by Pitchfork.Eno will receive the award at a ceremony on October 22 at the arts festival held in the Italian city where he will also take part in a conversation with music critic Tom Service.“Brian Eno’s compositions have been conceived in terms of a generative process that evolves in a potentially infinite time dimension, foreshadowing many of today’s compositional trends linked to digital sound,” composer Lucia Ronchetti wrote in a statement included with the Biennale’s announcement.Additionally, Eno will be the subject of a video art installation at the festival called Nothing Can Ever Be The Same. He was 58. A native of Southern California, Largent was an enthusiastic golfer as a teen, and he met the general manager of the Los Angeles alternative-radio powerhouse KROQ while working at a country club. Impressed with Largent’s knowledge of music, the GM offered him an internship at the station that led to a full-time role in 1985. The film picked up honors for both the Oscar contender “This Is Life” as the best song written and/or recorded for a film and for music supervision for a film budgeted under $25 million. Also scoring top honors were music supervisors or writers for “Elvis,” “Stranger Things,” “Insecure,” ““Battlefield 2042 DLC” and “Saint’s Row V,” among other movies, television shows, video games and ad campaigns. It was a glitzy return for the organization which recognizes and provides extensive support for the unsung music heroes behind the screens for film, television, video games, advertising and trailers. Coming together in-person after the awards were held virtually for the last three years, the cross section of music supervisors, sync agents, publishing company representatives, actors and musicians in attendance brought their A-Game to the red carpet and the three levels of the historic venue, as well as to its expansive stage—and also took advantage of the opportunity to let loose and mingle with their colleagues.

Nick Vivarelli International Correspondent Italian star author Robert Saviano, whose mob exposé “Gomorrah” spawned both Matteo Garrone’s eponymous prizewinning movie and the groundbreaking crime series that plays stateside on HBO, is making his directorial debut. Saviano will direct “I’m Still Alive,” an animation adaptation of his graphic novel illustrated by Israeli artist Asaf Hanuka (“Waltz With Bashir”). “Still Alive” examines the anti-mob activist’s life under armed guard since being forced to live with police protection shortly after 2006 when Saviano’s account of the inner workings of the Neapolitan Camorra crime syndicate was published. Just like Saviano’s graphic novel, “I’m Still Alive” will feature illustration’s by Hanuka, an Eisner-winning cartoonist who is known, besides “Bashir,” for his autobiographical strips “The Realist” and for graphic novel “The Divine.”
