An investigation is underway after a suspected shooting on a street in Stockport. Gunshots were reportedly blasted on Dorac Avenue, in the Heald Green area, at around 9.45pm on Sunday night (March 12).

Emergency services swarmed the small, residential street following the suspected shooting. Police said no injuries were reported.

In a first statement on the shooting issued today (Wednesday), a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 9:45pm on Sunday 12 March, Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a suspected firearms discharge at a property on Dorac Avenue, Cheadle. "Officers attended but thankfully no injuries were reported.
