BREAKING: Huge emergency response after car ploughs into house

A car has ploughed into a home, leaving the windows and front wall 'collapsing', according to witnesses. Police and firefighters rushed to the scene in Hazel Grove, Stockport, where a car has crashed into a house causing 'significant damage'.

Emergency services, along with Electricity North West, were called to the scene in Peveril Drive at around 5.30pm today, August 12.

Three fire engines and a technical rescue unit were sent to the scene, with firefighters taping off the road. Three police cars were also seen by witnesses.

Police and staff from Electricity North West remain on the road, the Manchester Evening News understands. "The house has collapsed at the front," one neighbour added.
