J. Kim Murphy It’s been a rambling, rocky odyssey to the release of “Don’t Worry Darling” — one involving canceled late-night appearances, rumors of production rivalries and conspiratorial frame-by-frame analysis of red carpet body language and an alleged loogie trajectory.

But there was always going to be an opening weekend at the end of this road. And the numbers show that Olivia Wilde has directed a hit. “Don’t Worry Darling” should have no trouble topping the domestic box office, projecting a $21 million debut from 4,113 theaters.

The film earned $9.4 million from opening day and Thursday previews — a more-than-solid figure for an original film that carries a modest $35 million production budget.

With a star-studded cast, topped by Oscar nominee Florence Pugh and pop superstar Harry Styles, the film has stirred up enough excitement to convince fans to see how its mystery all plays out on the big screen.

Abbey Clancy on seeking help after suffering health scare 'It's a horrible thing to have'
Abbey Clancy seems to have it all with her happy marriage and family, successful podcast, and lucrative brand and modelling deals. But the star has opened up about her ongoing battle with anxiety, revealing everything she does to try and keep it in check and stop herself from "catastrophising everything". Launching her solo podcast project, Exhibit A, Liverpool-born Abbey, who is married to footballer Peter Crouch, revealed her habit of always thinking the worst "scares her", so she sought help earlier this year to manage the anxiety.

The National‘s Aaron Dessner has admitted to being “forever grateful” to have worked on Taylor Swift‘s new album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’.The guitarist and producer worked on Swift’s 11th studio effort along with his brother Bryce Dessner and Bleachers‘ Jack Antonoff.Dessner has a long working history with the the singer after producing her previous three albums and “re-recorded” LPs including 2020’s ‘Folklore’ and 2021’s ‘Evermore’.Swift also provided vocals and lyrics for ‘The Alcott’ on The National’s 2023 album ‘First Two Pages Of Frankenstein’.A post shared by Aaron Dessner (@aarondessner)Posting on his Instagram, Dessner wrote: “I’m so excited and honoured to share that I have contributed to my dear friend and collaborator @taylorswift’s brilliant 11th album – a 31 song double album / anthology called ‘The Tortured Poets Department’.“We started working on these songs over two years ago and it feels like they have kept us company and evolved in beautiful and unexpected ways through so much life lived during this process.”He continued: “It’s hard to believe Taylor and I have now recorded over 60 songs together (17 across this anthology!!) in the 4 years since we began working together on ‘Folklore’ in 2020.
