An anchor for a Boston broadcast news station says she's been fired from her job after appearing in Netflix's Hubie Halloween.
Alaina Pinto took to Twitter on Thursday to share the news that her cameo in the Adam Sandler-led film had led to her dismissal. "Earlier this week I was let go from 7 News," Pinto wrote in a brief thread. "I am posting this because I want to be open and honest with all of you." Pinto, who was approaching her four-year anniversary at the station before she was fired, explained that her termination around a week after the film's release was a result of her "mistakenly" violating her contract.
