Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt gives view on potential of five substitutes rule being introduced

Sky Sports, EFL clubs are reportedly expected to agree to using five substitutes from next season, pending an EFL board meeting.

The change could be effective immediately and each league could choose whether to implement the change or not. And Wanderers head coach Evatt believes that a potential change would be 'beneficial' to Wanderers as they attempt to balance the minutes of players amid a busy fixture schedule.

He said: “I think it would be more beneficial to us, definitely.“I also think competitions like the one we’re playing in on Tuesday night don’t help when their rules state that you have to play five players who featured at the weekend.
