The stars and creator of Beef are responding to the resurfaced criticism against cast member David Choe.
Following the release of the new Netflix series, David, 47, came under fire after an interview he gave back in 2014 resurfaced where he joked about being a “successful rapist” during a massage.
On Friday (April 21), Beef stars and executive producers Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, along with show creator Lee Sung Jin, released a statement calling David‘s comments “undeniably hurtful and extremely disturbing,” but said that he’s “put in the work to get the mental health support he needed.” Keep reading to find out more… “The story David Choe fabricated nine years ago is undeniably hurtful and extremely disturbing.
