A daughter has paid a heartfelt tribute to her beautiful mum who put others first despite battling her own demons. Courtney Fisher from Ayr tragically lost her mum Lorna Fisher on Hogmanay due to liver failure.

Her mum was rushed into Ayr Hospital after her skin began to turn yellow on December 21. Sadly Lorna from Mossblown lost her fight with the disease brought on by alcohol addiction, aged 48.Courtney, 27, who is a yoga instructor, has told how her mum, despite years of suffering, always tried to care for others.Courtney told Ayrshire Live: “My mum passed away from an illness that she couldn’t recover from““She started to take a turn for the worse just before Christmas, her skin began to turn a yellow colour.“She had been diagnosed with liver failure related to alcohol dependency.“She never had it easy, she lost her mum, sister and brother when she was really young.“But despite her struggles she was the most caring person you could ever meet.”“In November my dog Winnie died, she loved Winnie who was only two-years-old.
