Phillip Schofield is being eyed up by Strictly Come Dancing bosses following his exit from This Morning. The ITV star announced at the weekend he would be leaving This Morning following weeks of speculation around the state of his friendship with co-host Holly Willoughby.

Phillip, 61, presented his last episode of the flagship ITV show last Thursday and tributes have been made for the presenter since.

Phillip is currently lying low after his axe from This Morning, as Holly, 42, went on her half-term break early to avoid being in the spotlight during the drama.

While Holly will continue her role on the ITV chat show, Phil is moving onto other projects as BBC bosses are eyeing him up for Strictly, reportedly.
