BBC sets up special complaints page after ‘too much TV coverage’ surrounding Prince Philip’s death

The BBC has reportedly been inundated with complaints from viewers surrounding the volume of coverage dedicated to Prince Philip, who has sadly passed away aged 99.

Following the announcement of the Duke of Edinburgh’s passing, the broadcaster suspended its usual Friday line-up across its BBC One and BBC Two channels to run identical special programmes about the royal’s life.

All programming was pulled on BBC Four which instead broadcast hours of a blank screen telling viewers to ‘switch to BBC One for a major news report’, The Independent reports.
