Tina Daheley has spoken out on the "racist, hateful" words said to her by a diner at an "expensive French restaurant" she went to with a pal last month.The BBC presenter took to her Instagram feed to share a letter she sent to the unnamed restaurant, explaining exactly what happened.The broadcaster, 40, said she felt "too upset" at the time to confront the diner and shared her hopes that the restaurant would "take action" as "there is no place" for this kind of behaviour in 2021.

In the caption, she told her 65,900 followers: "After weeks of thinking about this, I finally decided to write to the restaurant where this happened.
