Ayr United breezed into the last 16 of the Scottish Cup by notching their second win at Cove in just four days.The Honest Men rattled in another three goals at the Balmoral Stadium - taking their tally to eight over two games - as they put the 10 man hosts to the sword.United now face a home tie against League Two Elgin City with the carrot of the quarter finals awaiting the winner.Lee Bullen had made six changes to the side which ran riot at the same venue on Friday night, with Aidan McAdams handed a rare start between the sticks.David Bangala, Mark McKenzie and Sam Ashford also came into the starting line-up, while Daire O'Connor made his first start since limping off against Inverness in November.But it was Cove who almost grabbed the perfect start when Cieren Dunne dragged an effort just wide at the backpost.Ayr slowly took a grip of the contest after that and hit the front after great work by Dipo Akinyemi.The striker rounded two defenders before seeing his blocked effort rebound to Mark McKenzie, who mopped up from close range.United suffered a blow soon after when Nick McAllister was forced to limp off and they survived a scare on the stroke of half time when Ian Vigurs picked out Leighton McIntosh to head over the bar.Ayr began the second half brightly and McKenzie drew a good stop from Scott Fox as they looked to double the lead.And they took a firm hold of the tie just before the hour when Cove's Mitch Megginson picked up two yellow cards within 60 seconds for dissent.That paved the way for United to manage the tie to its conclusion and they duly put it to bed with a clinical counter attack which saw Ben Dempsey tee up Akinyemi for number two.Ashford then put the icing on the cake with a low angled drive to
