A murder probe in Ayr has entered its third day as cops scanned nearby CCTV for clues.Detectives are still investigating the death of a woman, named yesterday as Susan Turner, after her body was found inside a block of flats on Nursery Hall on Monday.Police confirmed the identity of the 41-year-old victim who was killed inside the property in the Whitletts area of the town.Ayrshire Live understand that enquiries into her death are still ongoing.Officers have been stationed outside the flat since they were first called on Monday, March 27 around 10.15am.Ms Turner was pronounced dead at the scene sparking a murder probe following a post mortem the following day.Yesterday detectives of the Major Investigation Team revealed they had poured through nearby CCTV footage in an attempt to look for clues.Senior detectives also made a desperate plea for information and asked residents to check their own home cameras or car dash cams in a bid to help them.Detective Chief Inspector Peter Sharp said: "Our thoughts and are with the Ms Turner's family and friends at this very difficult time."We have a dedicated team of officers working on this investigation and extensive enquiries are ongoing at this time."Officers are gathering CCTV footage from the surrounding area and door to door inquiries are also being carried out."I am keen to speak to anyone with any private CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or any other footage that they think would assist the enquiry."We will have a continued police presence in the area and anyone with any concerns can approach these officers."The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your area – plus features, football news and the latest on the coronavirus crisis – at your fingertips
