Austin Butler Has Given Vanessa Hudgens Credit for Elvis Inspiration at Long Last

And there was an Elvis Christmas song on the radio and I was singing along and my friend looked over at me and goes, ‘You've got to play Elvis.' I said, 'Oh, that's such a long shot.'” It was obvious that the “friend” in question was Hudgens, mostly because she told the exact same story on in 2019.So after a healthy social media dragging, Butler confirmed that the “friend” was actually Hudgens, his “partner at the time,” in an interview with . “We'd been together for so long and she had this sort of clairvoyant moment and so I really, I owe her a lot for believing in me,” he said.
He may not have called her by name, but at least he gave her credit for seeing Elvis before Elvis. Perhaps Butler was inspired to finally shout out his former partner partly because some of the social media dragging had come from Hudgens herself.
