Arthur Labinjo-Hughes' grandmother has told Good Morning Britain (GMB) that her grandson 'lost the sparkle in his eyes' in the months before his tragic death.

Arthur's father Thomas Hughes and Emma Tustin, his stepmum, were jailed last week for killing the six-year-old child, who had suffered a harrowing campaign of abuse while living in Tustin's Solihull home.

Tustin launched a fatal attack on Arthur causing him an unsurvivable brain injury after repeatedly banging his head against a wall on June 16 last year.

She then lied to police claiming that Arthur had caused the injuries himself. READ MORE: Arthur Labinjo-Hughes' killer stepmum never once mentioned him, ex-cellmate says Tustin was handed a life sentence for murder with a minimum
