Anthony Hopkins home destroyed in Los Angeles wildfires
nme.comSir Anthony Hopkins is the latest to lose his home in the wildfires currently happening in Los Angeles.TMZ has reported that the actor’s house in Pacific Palisades was completely destroyed by the blaze, although the actor was in the UK at the time and did not need to evacuate.Five different fires across the city have burned through over 36,000 acres, with 10 people reported dead and more than 130,000 people having evacuated.
The fires have become the most devastating in the city’s history, with officials warning that high winds may further fan the flames.Hopkins, known for his roles in The Silence of The Lambs and the Thor films, purchased the property in 2019, a year after his Malibu home narrowly missed a wildfire in that area.
His residence in England was also lost to fire in 2000.The two-time Oscar winner joins a number of Hollywood celebrities who have confirmed that their homes were destroyed.
