ANT and Dec have announced a surprising career change – as kids’ authors. The TV duo are releasing their first book – Propa Happy – in May to raise vital funds for the NSPCC.

Their first foray into writing is a guide to feeling good for the over-sevens and is packed with games, jokes, tales, challenges and quizzes to make kids smile.

It also includes mental health tips plus activities to help children nurture their emotional wellbeing. The award-winners wrote the book, published by Farshore, after speaking to child psychology experts and with guidance from the kids charity.

Ant McPartlin, 46, and Declan Donnelly, 45 chose May to publish to mark the run-up to the NSPCC's Childhood Day fundraiser on June 10, which helps Childline.
