Anne Heche‘s rep previously said that the actress was in “stable condition” after being involved in a fiery car crash this weekend.

Now, the latest update is much more serious. The 53-year-old actress has been hospitalized since Friday after the car she was driving crashed into a home in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles.

The car caught on fire and the firefighters fought the flames for 65 minutes until she could be pulled from the wreckage. The home was destroyed and a GoFundMe page was launched for the woman who was living in the home at the time. Click inside to read the new statement from Anne Heche’s rep… Anne‘s rep provided a new update on Monday afternoon (August 8). “At this time Anne is in extreme critical condition she has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention,” the rep told Deadline. “She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident.” The LAPD has confirmed that Anne is being investigated for misdemeanor DUI and hit and run.
