Queen Elizabeth's dresser was not forced out of her home in Windsor but instead chose to leave to live closer to her family, a royal expert has claimed.
Angela Kelly worked for the late monarch for almost 30 years but her time within the palace was up when Her Majesty passed away last September.
Rumours had been circulating that she was forced to leave Windsor by King Charles but the Daily Express reports that their Royal correspondent Richard Palmer has said this was not the case after all.
Mr Palmer claims that Angela was welcome to stay in her royal home for as long as she wanted and that King Charles had kindly bought her a house in Derbyshire so she could be closer to her own family.Mr Palmer said: “She's got children and grandchildren in the north of England and my understanding is she wanted to spend more time with them."He added: "The key thing, I was told, was that she could have stayed in Windsor.
