Amazon donates £5000 to volunteer-run Lanarkshire community group

A Coatbridge charity is £5000 richer following nominations of support from Amazon employees at the company’s Development Centre in Scotland.

The volunteer-managed Kirkshaws Neighbourhood Centre supports the community through a range of services and activities including over 65s IT training, an employment programme and community cooking classes.The donation from Amazon will go towards the continuation of its centre programme, which features the likes of community cooking classes, an after school club, a holiday playscheme for youngsters, and support to the group's employability training programme for the long-term unemployed.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
