"It was just gross.” Relatively speaking, she tells Porter, she came out of the pre-#MeToo era “pretty unscathed.” But now, more than ever, she feels a level of respect on sets that she hadn’t known as a younger actor. “It has nothing to do with any level of fame or recognition or critical acclaim," she notes. "Whatever it is, it’s not because of Mank, it’s not because of it’s not about having seen my movies.
I’m respected because I’m 36 years old, and I know who the fuck I am.”Her confidence comes from age and perspective, she says, especially as a mom.
