Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Chris Sutton managed to share a laugh over the Celtic legend's Ibrox lockout - but both were bamboozled by the whole affair.

Sutton and former Parkhead boss Neil Lennon were denied entry to the stadium on Thursday night having been due to appear as pundits on BT Sport.

They were set to cover Celtic 's clash with Real Betis in Spain before being swapped out for McCoist and David Weir when Rangers kicked off against Lyon later in the evening.

But Sutton and Lennon were told in the afternoon they would not be granted access and said "security reasons" were the explanation given, with Stiliyan Petrov appearing as a late stand-in from a London studio for the Celtic game.Record Sport columnist Sutton branded the move a display of "Trumpism" from.
