Strictly Come Dancing’s 20th series is due to kick off in September, meaning another celebrity will soon be the proud owner of the famous glitterball.

A host of famous faces are taking part in this year’s contest, including Will Mellor, Kym Marsh, Ellie Simmonds and Bros singer Matt Goss.

Who will win will be decided after three gruelling months that will see the dancers training day in, day out with their pro partners.

And while we’ve still got a little time to wait before the new series kicks off, here we take a look at the past winners of Strictly Come Dancing…With things returning to something more normal in 2021, EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis took the trophy – with her interlude of silence during her Couple’s Choice routine with Giovanni Pernice winning prizes of its own.
