Alison Hammond was left issuing an apology about the way she uses social media after discovering she has been using the block button for all the wrong reasons.

The presenter was back at the helm of This Morning when she had the realisation on Friday (June 9). She was back fronting the ITV daytime show for the first time since she and co-host Dermot O'Leary stepped in and covered following Phillip Schofield's shock exit.

But the pair returned in good form and kicked off the show in their usual cheery manner. Shortly into the last edition of the popular programme of the week, Alison and Dermot were chatting through the latest news headlines with Nick Ferrari and Matthew Wright. But after her co-host made the remark, a confused Alison admitted that she'd "never" heard that reference before. The former Big Brother contestant-turned-TV favourite later went on to say that she thought she was being trolled when social media called her "GOAT" online. "I've been blocking people," she admitted before adding: "Sorry If I've blocked you." Things later got emotional in the show when Alison and Dermot were joined live in the studio by body confidence coach Michelle Elman who appeared to take viewers calls and speak to those who had body image concerns and wanted some expert advice.
