Today's This Morning descended into chaos as hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary were left in hysterics as they interviewed leprechaun whisperer Kevin Wood.

ITV's St Patrick's Day celebrations took a rather bizarre turn when Kevin, who claims to be the world's last leprechaun whisperer, scolded the presenters and accused them of not taking him seriously.

Kevin told the laughing hosts that there were 236 leprechauns left in the world, and seemed to become annoyed when Alison later asked: "There’s not very many left are there?" To which, Kevin replied: "I told you a minute ago.

You’re not listening." And he snapped at the presenter for a second time after she told him he was funny, responding with: "I'm not funny, I'm dead serious".

A suspect has been released on bail after being arrested over alleged blackmail threats to Alison Hammond.The man, aged 36, spent 24 hours in custody after he was arrested by West Midlands police on Saturday 25 March. A police statement read: "A 36-year-old man arrested on suspicion of blackmail against a woman in her 40s has been released on conditional bail."
