The programme was classic Saturday night TV at its finest, and featured the This Morning presenter crooning away on the stage in a 2004 episode.The 46 year old star, who recently shared a tribute to her friend Josie Gibson for her birthday, first appeared as herself, with her curly locks in tight ringlets and wearing a casual black blouse and pink knee-length skirt for the show.
Cat Deeley then urged Alison to leave the floor via the futuristic silver door, and when she returned, it was as jazz favourite Nina Simone.
