However, Alice claimed that microwaves haven’t been used since the 1980s - and viewers of the ITV daytime show weren't having any of it. "‘Mothers all over the country will be watching this with interest… The microwave – basically, we put it away after the ’80s didn’t we?" she said to the show's hosts while surrounded by different brands and variations of the kitchen appliance.
