Dr Alex George has revealed the reasons behind his decision to leave A&E, stating his "purpose has changed". And the former Love Island star followed up with a video in which he elaborated on his decision to switch paths, stating that "something had to give".
Addressing his reasons to leave A&E, told his Instagram followers said he was struggling to manage all of his commitments and admitted it "wasn't an easy decision" but he felt he was approaching burnout.
Dr Alex, 31, has been a passionate campaigner for mental health since losing his own brother Llŷr to suicide in July 2020. "I love being an A&E doctor.
It's something that I trained all my life to be," he said. "But I basically got to the point where I was burning out."
