Alec Baldwin's brother Stephen has asked the public for their prayers after the actor accidentally killed a director of photography with a prop gun on the set of a movie in New Mexico on Thursday 21 October.

Halyna Hutchins was rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds to the stomach, but was sadly pronounced dead shortly after being transported to the hospital in Albuquerque.

Film director Joel Souza is also said to have been injured as a result of the shooting, and is currently being treated in hospital.

According to reports, the 48 year old was shot in the shoulder. Now, 63 year old Alec's brother Stephen has taken to his Instagram feed to ask his 109,000 followers for their support.
