On Thursday (December 16), Newsweek published an article alleging that the 63-year-old actor had “‘requested a bigger gun’ before the incident that left cinematographer Halyna Hutchins dead and director Joel Souza injured on the set of the movie Rust in October, police said.” Alec took to Twitter the same day to respond to the allegations. The choices regarding any props by me for the film RUST were made weeks before production began,” he wrote on the official Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Foundation Twitter account. “To suggest that any changes were made ‘before fatal shooting’ is false,” he added.
