Budget supermarket Aldi has expanded their McDonald's-inspired range with their own version of Chicken Selects - but they have left some shoppers divided.
The German grocer recently introduced four Crispy Chicken Strips with BBQ/Sweet Chili Dip into their range and they look exactly like the popular fast-food order.
Their range inspired by the famous Golden Arches hit stores across the UK last year and were immediately a hit with shoppers for "tasking exactly like McDonald's".
Priced at £2.49 for one box, the Chicken Selects 'dupe' went viral on social media after one savvy Scots shopper shared a snap of the new find - and it has started a debate over the price and what shoppers are getting for their money.Sharing the food find to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group on Facebook, the shopper shared how she found the Chicken Strips in the Motherwell Store.The post read: "I’m pretty sure everyone has seen Aldi's version of McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets by now."However, Aldi's now has their own version of the Chicken Selects too.
