Albion Rovers boss Brian Reid hailed a 'moment of magic' from Callum Wilson to give them a vital 1-0 win over Stranraer in their League Two clash at Cliftonhill. But the former Rangers and Morton defender could have done with Charlie Reilly not seeing his second-half penalty saved as Rovers tried to turn the screw. After Blair Malcolm's strike was well saved by Luke Scullion, captain Wilson sent a rocket shot ripping into the top right corner.Reilly was then sent sprawling inside the box, but the former Hamilton and Partick Thistle star stepped up, but saw his penalty saved by Scullion.

However, Rovers held on for a good win that takes them up to seventh in the table, four points off fourth-placed East Fife.Reid said: "It was a scrappy game but in those games it’s going to take that moment of magic; Callum came up and produced, and we saw it through.“It would have been nice to have got that second one and then I could have sat down with a cup of tea and relaxed a wee bit more! “We like to make it difficult, but the most important thing is another three points, that’s two wins on the bounce, and hopefully we can build on it. "The win was important for us, we’re on a good run – that’s six unbeaten and only one defeat out our last eight, so we’re on a decent run.“Callum Wilson’s finish is a great one, on his weaker foot into the far corner.“To be fair, their goalkeeper was inspired today, I thought he made some great saves and it was a big, big win for us, so we’ll enjoy the weekend."It was a good day for us, today."Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitter via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
