Writer Alastair Campbell has made somewhat of a huge mistake today after he announced the death of Queen Elizabeth, who is still very much alive.

Alastair has been filling in for the week on Good Morning Britain opposite Suzanna Reid for Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK and was speaking to Vinnie Jones when the massive blunder was made.

It most definitely was an accidental slip, as it appeared that Alastair simply got mixed up with his words and said something about the Queen’s death, when he was supposed to say Prince Philip, who actually had died.

However, Alastair was quick to notice his mistake and gave a speedy apology to viewers, but not before people took to Twitter to let it known that it didn’t go unnoticed.
