Aaron Rodgers Confirms Jets Rumors, Intends to Leave Green Bay Packers to Play Quarterback in New York

Aaron Rodgers has announce he intends to play for the New York Jets in 2023! The 39-year-old former NFL MVP has been facing several rumors this offseason including if he’ll be retiring or if he’d be traded from the Green Bay Packers.

Well, on the Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday (March 15), Aaron personally announced his intention to leave Green Bay, the team that drafted him in 2005, and play on the New York Jets. Aaron said on the show that he went into his infamous “darkness retreat” for a few days where he spent time disconnected from the world in the dark thinking he was going to retire.

He was told by the Packers before the retreat that they intended for him to still be their quarterback should he choose to play. Aaron noted that “something happened” after the retreat where he heard the Packers were looking to trade him.
