Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (pronounced "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified eight-times platinum in the UK.
The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.
2023 ACM Awards: Partial winners list
foxnews.comThe 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs) is here. The 58th annual award show, co-hosted by country legends Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, is held in Frisco, Texas this year.This will be Parton's second time hosting the show and Brooks' first time taking on the role.
Country artist HARDY is the leading nominee at the ACMs, while "Yellowstone" actress and singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson is right behind with six nominations.
Among Hardy's seven nominations are two in the song of the year category: "Wait in the Truck" and "Sand in My Boots," a song performed by Morgan Wallen and co-written by HARDY, Ashley Gorley and Josh Osborne.
Wallen did not attend the ACMs due to a health issue. The star-studded event will feature performances fromParton, Ed Sheeran, Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert.
