£1 million road improvement in Wishaw street after public consultation

North Lanarkshire Council is to proceed with a £1 million improvements programme in Wishaw’s Meadowhead Road after a public consultation showed widespread support.

The road is part of a planned route between Ravenscraig and University Hospital Wishaw which also provides access to the nearby Wishawhill Wood pump track in Craigneuk.

The council proposed measures to improve the environment and road safety, including a 20mph zone, new lighting and drainage, resurfacing and traffic calming.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
